EDMUND FITZGERALD MEMORIAL SERVICE
The Edmund Fitzgerald was lost with her entire crew of 29 men on Lake Superior November 10, 1975, 17 miles north-northwest of Whitefish Point, Michigan. Each year, the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum hosts a memorial service for surviving family members and the community. It is at this time that the community reflects on the lives lost in Lake Superior. CHRISTMAS IN PARADISE | ANNUAL BAZAAR
Shop for beautifully handcrafted Christmas gifts by UP area crafters! A bake sale, lunch and refreshment counter will be available and if Santa can get a break from his work bench, we hope to have a visit from him in the afternoon. Join in the fun and start your Christmas holiday in Paradise. The Bazaar starts at 10:00 AM and runs until 3:00 PM at the Whitefish Township Community Center.

Qualifying Race for the UP 200. Begins and ends at the Muskallonge Lake State Park campground area. With an estimated purse of some $8,000 paid to the PRO Class, the trails include a few steep hills and varied terrain with spectacular winter scenery. There is nothing more satisfying then an afternoon guided snowshoe hike through the snow covered forests of the Upper Falls. Breathe the cool fresh air in deeply as you admire the surrounding beauty, 2:00 PM every Saturday in February! Run from the Whitefish Township Emergency Services facility upbound(north) on Whitefish Point Road to Whitefish Point, then back to Whitefish Township Community Center, located across the road from the starting point. 35th WILD BLUEBERRY FESTIVAL
Since 1984, during the third weekend in August the Paradise area celebrates their local heritage, wild blueberries. An arts and craft fair, strolling and stage entertainment, kid's craft tent, wagon rides, and wonderful local food are showcase the festivities. TAHQUAMENON WILDERNESS CANOE RACE
"The Great Race from the Lower Falls to Lake Superior" is the perfect way to start the morning. This 17 1/2 mile, two-person (C-2) canoe race starts at 10:00 AM. A shorter (6 1/2 mile) one-person race (C-1) begins at 3:30 PM at the Tahquamenon River Mouth. The day's events conclude with a banquet and awards program. THE HAUNTED TRAIL
Kick off your family Halloween events right! Hike the Haunted Trail as ghouls, goblins, and gremlins dance among the pumpkins, pines, and pitchforks. Held at Sawmill Creek Township Park just north of Paradise on Whitefish Point Road. The trail is open from 7:00 -10:00 pm. Admission is $7. Souvenirs, snacks, and beverages are available on sight for additional costs. Have a spookiní good time! Check their spooky website!

TAHQUAMENON HARVEST FESTIVAL
Participate in the annual Tahquamenon Lower Falls autumn camping experience! Events include pumpkin carving, campsite decorating, chili cook-off, costume contests and trick-or-treating. Families, groups and couples have made camping during Harvest Festival a tradition.
