BLESSING of the SNOWMOBILES
A new event in downtown Paradise.11 am at North Coast Realty, just west of the blinking light. Bring your snowmobile to have it Blessed for the 2008 riding season. We will have ordained ministers here to perform the ceremony along with a Radar Run up on trail #452 by the Andrus Lake from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. (Take the north trail out of Paradise and proceed on trail #452 to Andrus Lake).Then back to North Coast Realty for hotdogs, brats, and a bonfire from 4 pm to 8 pm. MARDI GRAS DE SNOW A Snowmobile Festival of Races & Games for the whole family.
Snowshoe races and bonfire on Thursday night. Variety of races on Friday and Saturday with the Parade of Snowmobiles on Friday night at 7 pm. Meet at the Yukon Inn for the parade and a evening ride to the groomer barn for food and a bonfire. Awards Banquet and dancing Saturday evening. Fun for Everyone! PARADISE TAHQUAMENON WILDERNESS CANOE RACE
"The Great Race from the Falls to Lake Superior"
A 17 mile race from the Lower Tahquamenon Falls to the river mouth on Whitefish Bay.
Registration for the C2 Expert Race at the Lower Falls at 8:00 AM.  Race begins at !0:00 AM.
Registration for the C1 Expert Race and the Paradise Free for All at the river mouth boat launch 10:00 AM.
Paradise "Free for All" is open to anyone with a canoe and paddle.
This race is a 3 mile loop around Marsh Island at the river mouth.  Race begins at 11:00 AM.
C1 Expert Race begins at the river mouth at 3:30 PM.  Awards Ceremony 8:00 PM.
Refreshment booth available.  Come join us for a day of paddling fun!

THE ANNUAL HAUNTED TRAIL
Sawmill Creek Township Park, 1/10 mile north of Paradise on Whitefish Point Road
7 pm to 10 pm. Admission $3 for a "howling" good time.
The trail is a nature walk of about 400 yards, but the Head Ghoul has transformed the trail adding 15 sites of terror, fun, and visually cool effects. Guides will take you through the woods and a concession stand sells hot dogs and chips, home baked goodies, hot spiced cider, coffee, and cocoa. Come out for a scary good evening in Paradise.
